Dianne Borsenik just edited an anthology of end-of-the-world poetry, Buzzkill: Apocalypse, which just came out as a chapbook from Night Ballet press.
Night Ballet is the new kid on the block in the way of Cleveland-area poetry presses, establishing a presence with a series of broadsides, and now branching out into collections. This is their first, but likely not last!, theme collection.
My theory is that the Mayans are simply going to turn over to the next page of their calendar... but, ever since Frost (heck, probably Milton), the end of the world has been subject to poetry. So check out Buzzkill-- ten bucks will get you a copy. It's the end of the world!

...but I just want to know, how come R.E.M. keeps singing in my head?
It's been in my head, too, Geoffrey, along with "Armageddon It" by Def Leppard, lol. Thanks for posting this! You can read more about Buzzkill, the poems and photos and short fiction, and all the groovy contributors, at www.nightballetpress.blogspot.com. There are 47 different contributors from the U.S., England, Australia, and Canada, covering just about every end-of-the-world scenario you can think of. Check it out (before it's too late, haha)!
Are you sure there isn't some sort of Mayan daylight savings thing where we turn back our calendars 1000 years?
Received my copy in the mail yesterday! Some really good stuff, that!
Thanks for your work in making the project a success!
