The usual clueless bullshit. No offense to the poets they mention, but they just don't know the Cleveland poetry scene. We have Stoker, Elgin, and Rhysling winners here, but CBS didn't dig deep enough (maybe a half inch) to find them.
OTOH, congrats to Susan Grimm, George Bilgere, and Ray McNiece, who are indeed wonderful, and maybe Susan, who I never heard of, and maybe Phil, who I've heard of and maybe even heard read.
Well, I'd have to say that these are some very good poets-- it's a pity that they didn't dig down deeper and highlight some of the other, perhaps lesser-known poets (whose work you can hear in any of the many readings in this town-- Cleveland is a great town for poetry readings). But I'm happy to see any of our poets recognized.
You know I am a master from Cleveland University. During my college, my seniors suggested me many interesting books of best poets. If you want few, I can courier them to you.
